Buy in Denmark, Shipped to Saudi Arabia
Your Danish purchase, sent on to Saudi Arabia. New goods with a receipt, received in Copenhagen, checked, repacked and tracked to your ground floor.
In short
GIA ships brand-new furniture, lighting and design pieces bought from Danish shops to private buyers and companies in Saudi Arabia, including from shops that will not ship there themselves. Your goods need their original packaging and a receipt. GIA receives or collects them in Copenhagen, inspects and repacks them, and ships them on, tracked on giaservice.dk. Saudi VAT, customs duty and the clearance are paid by the receiver, and delivery is to the ground floor.

Importing your Danish purchase into Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is part of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) customs union, which applies a common external customs tariff to goods from outside the GCC. Imports are also subject to Saudi VAT at 15%. Both are administered by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA).
| VAT | 15% Saudi VAT on imported goods, calculated on the customs value plus any customs duty. |
|---|---|
| Customs duty | The GCC common customs tariff applies to goods from outside the GCC. The general rate is 5% of the customs value; some goods have other rates. |
| Who pays | The receiver pays VAT, customs duty and the clearance. GIA prepares the export documents in Denmark, and the shop’s receipt serves as the commercial invoice. |
| Pallets | Shipments to Saudi Arabia travel on heat treated, stamped Euro pallets. |
Check your product before you buy
Some products need conformity approval before they can be imported into Saudi Arabia. Tell us exactly what you are buying, and we check the requirements for your item before we quote.
Delivery to the ground floor in Saudi Arabia
The shipment is handed over at street level at your address, villa entrance or building lobby. Carrying the goods upstairs or into an apartment is arranged by the receiver.
Before you pay the Danish shop
- Ask for the receipt or invoice with the shop’s name, the items and the price. It travels with the goods as the commercial invoice.
- Keep the original packaging. Goods in the manufacturer’s box travel best and are easiest to check against the receipt.
- Tell the shop to deliver to GIA, or let us collect from the shop, so the goods are in one place before they are repacked.
- Check the measurements. Large furniture must fit through the door and the lift at your address in Saudi Arabia.
Send us the shop’s name, the items and the delivery address in Saudi Arabia in the form on this page, and you get a fixed price in writing before anything moves. We reply within 2 to 24 hours.
