For EU destinations, the primary document is a CMR (Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road) waybill, which we prepare as part of the service. For shipments with goods subject to excise duty, additional documentation may be required. For UK shipments post-Brexit, we arrange export declarations and the recipient needs to handle import clearance at the UK border. We advise on documentation requirements specific to your shipment when you request a quote.

FTL (Full Truckload) means your cargo fills the entire vehicle — typically 33 pallets or 24,000 kg. It travels directly from pickup to delivery with no intermediate stops, which minimises transit time and handling. LTL (Less than Truckload) means your shipment shares space with other compatible cargo heading in the same direction. LTL is significantly cheaper for smaller volumes but transit time is typically 1–2 days longer due to consolidation and distribution at hubs.

For FTL shipments from Copenhagen to Hamburg or northern Germany, transit time is typically 1–2 business days. For Berlin and central Germany, 1–2 days. For Munich and southern Germany, 2–3 days. For LTL shipments add 1–2 days for consolidation. Express service can reduce these times for time-critical cargo — contact us with your deadline.

For UK shipments we prepare Danish export documentation and CMR paperwork. UK import customs clearance is the responsibility of the recipient or their customs broker in the UK. We advise on this process and can recommend UK customs brokers on request. For other non-EU destinations within Europe, we advise on a case-by-case basis — contact us with the destination country and commodity details.
