In short

Old paint cannot go in the bin. We collect it.

Leftover paint, varnish, thinners and spray cans count as hazardous waste (farligt affald) in Denmark. They must not go in household waste or down the drain, and taking them to a recycling station yourself means a car, the right opening hours and the right section. We collect them from your home, basement, loft or renovation site and take them to an approved collection point.

Get It All Service ApS is a Copenhagen service company founded in 2015, with our own warehouse in Albertslund and a team that speaks English and Danish. We are insured with If Skadeforsikring. Open Monday to Saturday 07:30 to 18:00 and Sunday 10:30 to 17:00.

What we collect

Every kind of paint and paint product.

Wall and ceiling paint

Acrylic and water-based paint, the most common type in Danish homes. Liquid paint is collected; small, fully dried leftovers can go in ordinary waste.

Oil-based and alkyd paint

Used on woodwork, doors and windows. Always hazardous waste, whatever the amount.

Gloss, enamel and primers

Solvent-based gloss, enamel and primers go to hazardous waste. Water-based primers are collected too.

Varnish, lacquer and wood stain

These contain solvents and resins and are handled as hazardous waste.

Thinners and solvents

White spirit, turpentine, acetone and brush cleaners: some of the most hazardous products in a home.

Spray cans

Full, half-used and empty aerosol cans. They are pressurised and flammable, so leave the cap on and do not puncture them.

Before we come

How to get your paint ready.

Keep the lids on

Closed tins do not spill or dry out on the way. Keep different products in their own tins and do not mix them.

Small acrylic leftovers

A thin layer of water-based paint can dry with the lid off in a ventilated room. Once completely hard, it can go in ordinary waste.

Larger amounts

Do not try to dry larger amounts or oil-based paint yourself. Never pour paint into a sink, toilet or outdoor drain. Leave it to us.

Tell us what it is

If you know a tin holds oil-based paint or solvent, say so. Worn labels are fine; we collect tins in any condition.

Questions

Paint disposal, answered.

Email us · +45 93 84 13 33

Can I put old paint in my normal rubbish in Denmark?

No. Liquid paint, oil-based paint, thinners and spray cans must not go in household waste. Only small amounts of water-based paint that have dried completely can go in ordinary waste. Everything else is hazardous waste (farligt affald).

Can I pour leftover paint down the drain?

No. Paint poured into a sink, toilet or outdoor drain pollutes the wastewater system and can lead to a fine. Keep the lid on and let us collect it.

Do the tins need to be full or labelled?

No. We collect full, half-empty and nearly empty tins, also with worn labels. Tell us if you know a tin holds oil-based paint or solvent.

How much does paint collection cost?

From DKK 1,345 excl. VAT for up to 10 tins, from DKK 1,945 for 10 to 30 tins and from DKK 2,995 for a full basement or site. Together with a larger clearance, the paint is included.

Can I get proof that the paint was disposed of correctly?

Yes. Landlords, property managers and contractors can ask for written confirmation of disposal.

Where do you collect?

All of Copenhagen and Zealand, including Frederiksberg, Hellerup, Gentofte, Lyngby, Hvidovre, Brøndby and Roskilde. Further away by arrangement.
