Moving in Amager

Amager has very different homes within a few kilometres. Islands Brygge and Sundby have many older red-brick blocks with narrow stairwells and often no lift. In Ørestad and along the water at Amager Strand the buildings are new and tall, with lifts, large shared areas and sometimes access via a basement or a set loading point. In Dragør and Kastrup many live in terraced houses and villas, where the van can park close to the door but streets can be narrow.
The distance from our base at Læhegnet 73 in Albertslund to Amager is about 18 km, so travel is covered by the first 20 km that are included in every price. You choose a fixed price or pay by the hour, and you know the price before we start.

Good to know when moving in Amager.
If you live in Ørestad, ask the administration whether the lift can be booked or protected on moving day and where the van may stop. On Islands Brygge it helps to clear bikes and prams from the stairwell so we can carry safely.

How the day runs.
The team calls when they are on the way. They walk through both homes with you, protect floors and stairwells where needed, and load the heaviest furniture first so the van is packed safely.
At the new address, furniture and boxes are placed in the rooms you choose. If you booked disassembly, beds and wardrobes are put back together before we leave. Anything you decide not to keep can come back with us for disposal on the same trip.

Is Amager within your normal area?
Yes. Amager is about 18 km from our base in Albertslund, so travel is normally covered by the first 20 km. For Dragør and the far end of Kastrup a small charge of DKK 21 per km may apply.
Can you move me into a high-rise in Ørestad?
Yes. Give the floor, lift and any loading rules in the form, and we plan the move around the building rules.
Can I get a fixed price?
Yes. You choose between a fixed price and an hourly price. With a fixed price you know the total before we start.
Are my things insured during the move?
Basic transport insurance is included on every job, and we are insured with If Skadeforsikring.
Do you work at weekends?
Yes. We are open Monday to Saturday 07:30–18:00 and Sunday 10:30–17:00.
Can you deliver moving boxes?
Yes. Moving boxes cost DKK 25 per box and are delivered in advance.
Can you store my things between homes?
Yes. If the new home is not ready, your things can be stored at our warehouse in Albertslund and delivered when you are ready.
How quickly do you reply?
You get a written price, within 2 to 24 hours.
How do I pay?
Private customers pay after the job. Business customers receive an invoice with their CVR number, and EAN invoicing is possible.
Can I change the date?
Yes. Let us know as early as possible and we will find a new date that suits you.
Do you speak English?
Yes. The whole team speaks English and Danish, and we reply in both languages.
