The short answer

Moving your home to Norway? Your removal goods (flyttegods) are declared to Norwegian Customs, Tolletaten, on the declaration RD-0030, importation of removal goods. Under the form’s guidance, you must have lived abroad continuously for at least one year to bring your removal goods in without duties and taxes. If you moved to Norway more than a year ago and want to import goods as removal goods, Tolletaten asks for a separate application.

Checklist

  • Declaration RD-0030, importation of removal goods
  • At least one continuous year living outside Norway before the move
  • Import within a year of your move, or a separate application to Tolletaten
  • A list of the goods in the shipment (our shipping data sheet produces it)

Before you book

Book the shipment so it arrives within the first year after you move. Describe every item in plain words, for example “used sofa, three-seater”, so customs can match the goods with the declaration.

How Get It All Service ApS helps

We collect your boxes, furniture or pallets at your door anywhere in Denmark and ship them to your Norwegian address. Our shipping data sheet asks the Norway questions and builds the list of goods. Basic transport insurance is included. See also shipping belongings abroad from Denmark, our international freight service, and shipping new Danish purchases to Norway.

Packing for the journey

Your goods travel a long way to Norway, so packing matters. Use strong boxes, tape every seam and write the contents on each box. Wrap furniture legs and corners, and take apart what can be taken apart. Before we load, we check that the packaging is ready for export and that the documents match the goods.

  • Boxes: strong export boxes, taped on every seam and labelled with the contents.
  • Pallets: wrapped, strapped and labelled, with the gross weight marked.
  • Fragile items: wrapped one by one and marked clearly on the outside of the box.
  • Crates: for items that need extra protection, custom wooden crates are quoted on request after we see the item.

Your list of goods

A clear list makes every shipment easier. Our shipping data sheet collects every item with quantity and value. Describe each item in plain words, for example “used sofa, three-seater” or “box of books”, and give an honest replacement value for everything together. Keep a copy of the list yourself, so you can check that everything has arrived when the goods reach Norway.

Collection anywhere in Denmark

We collect from your home, office, a warehouse or an agreed collection point anywhere in Denmark, so you never need to bring anything to us. If your goods are not ready to leave at the same time as you, they can wait at our warehouse in Albertslund until the agreed shipping date. See storage with collection and delivery.

What affects the price

  • Volume and weight. Bulky items can have a chargeable weight that is higher than their actual weight.
  • The delivery address in Norway and how easy it is to reach.
  • The collection address in Denmark. The first 20 km from our base in Albertslund are included, then DKK 21 per km one way.
  • The number of boxes, items and pallets, and whether anything needs extra packing.

You get a fixed price in writing before anything moves, and we reply within 2 to 24 hours. Business prices are excl. 25% VAT.

Good to know

We ship legal items only, and every shipment needs a full declaration of its contents. Gas bottles, fuel, paint, aerosols and loose batteries cannot go in the boxes. Duties, taxes, import permissions and clearance at the destination remain your responsibility unless we confirm otherwise in writing.
