Moving service — Ørestad’s new-build towers have freight lifts and loading bay access. The VM Houses have distinctive internal architecture that makes large furniture moves interesting. We have done them. We know which staircases in 8Tallet are usable for a wardrobe carry and which ones are not. We assess before pricing so you do not discover complications on moving day.
Islands Brygge has a mixture of old warehouse conversions and newer builds. The converted buildings often have narrow access and no freight lift — a wardrobe on the fourth floor of an old harbourside warehouse is not the same job as a wardrobe on the fourth floor of a Nordhavn tower with a freight lift. We price them differently. We tell you which one you have before you commit.
Luggage transfer from CPH Airport — Amager’s proximity to Copenhagen Airport makes it a natural hub for this service. Cruise ship passengers arriving at the port, international groups cycling or touring, conference attendees flying in with more than they want to carry — we collect from CPH Arrivals or the cruise terminal and deliver to any Amager, Ørestad or central Copenhagen address. Junk removal — Ørestad apartments turn over regularly. Short-term corporate tenants leave. Students finish their programmes. International residents complete their assignments and fly home. Their apartments contain IKEA furniture that was bought for the duration and now needs to go somewhere that is not the stairwell. We collect, donate what is in good condition to Røde Kors, and dispose of the rest through ARC. Same-day available most weekdays.
IKEA assembly — IKEA Taastrup is eleven minutes from Ørestad by car or thirty minutes by the Metro to Glostrup. We collect from either IKEA location and deliver to your door. Or we assemble what you already have. Full PAX wardrobe systems, bed frames, full room sets. We leave when the furniture is in the room and the packaging is gone.
The Islands Brygge and Sydhavn distinction
Islands Brygge, Sluseholmen and Teglholmen — the canal island development in Sydhavn — are technically in the Amager/Sydhavn postal area but feel distinct from the Ørestad towers. Canal-side addresses, houseboats, older apartment buildings alongside new waterfront developments. The demographic here skews younger and more mixed: Danish families who moved from Vesterbro when they needed more space, international creative professionals, people who prioritise the harbour swimming and ferry access to central Copenhagen over proximity to a Metro station.
We have worked at addresses throughout this area. The canal-side access at Sluseholmen requires boat-side parking awareness. The wooden bridge connections to some of the island blocks have width restrictions that affect van positioning. We know this before we arrive because we ask the right questions when you book.
