Your truck is ready. Your driver is not available. Now what?
On Friday 17 July 2026 a brewery in Gørløse, North Zealand, needed a driver for the day. An 18-tonne Mercedes Antos, loaded with tanked beer, is running from their site to several stops across Copenhagen, accompanied by one of their own staff. Start at 08:00 and finish around 16:00.
They did not need a haulage company. They had the truck, the load, and the route. What they needed was one qualified person with a C-class license and a valid EU driver qualification card to sit behind the wheel for six hours.
That is a surprisingly hard thing to find at short notice in Denmark — and it is a service we provide.
What a C-license driver hire actually is
You keep your vehicle, your insurance, your route, and your customer relationship. We supply the driver.
It is the right solution when:
- Your driver is off sick and the delivery round still has to run
- Holiday cover is needed for a week or a fortnight
- Peak season means more runs than your permanent staff can cover
- A one-off job falls outside your normal operation—an event delivery, a site move, a festival run
- You are between hires and cannot leave a vehicle standing idle
A truck that does not move still costs you money. Leasing, insurance, and depreciation do not pause because nobody is available to drive.
What we bring
Category C license. Rigid vehicles over 3,500 kg—the class that covers most distribution trucks, box bodies, and tankers on Danish roads.
EU driver qualification card (chaufføruddannelsesbevis). The mandatory professional competence certificate for commercial driving in the EU. Without it, a driver behind the wheel of your truck is a legal problem, not a solution.
Working knowledge of Copenhagen. Multi-stop delivery in the city is not the same as motorway driving. Loading zones, delivery windows, restricted streets, and tight courtyards. Our drivers work in Copenhagen every day.
English-speaking. If you are an international business operating in Denmark, or your staff member riding along does not speak Danish, that matters.
A driver used to working alongside your people. On the brewery job, our driver worked with one of their staff throughout—following their sequence, their handling procedures, and their customer expectations. We are there to drive, not to take over your operation.

How it works
1. Tell us the job. Vehicle type and weight, date, start and finish times, start address, and the general shape of the route. If a member of your staff is riding along, say so.
2. We confirm availability and a fixed price. Day rates and half-day rates are agreed upon before we start. No hourly surprises at the end.
3. Our driver arrives ready to work. License and qualification card available for your records. Briefed on the route before the day.
4. You get an invoice with full CVR documentation. Standard terms, or agreed-upon account terms for regular work.
Where we operate
We cover Copenhagen and the whole Capital Region—including Gørløse, Hillerød, Helsingør, Roskilde, Køge, Lyngby, Ballerup, Albertslund, Glostrup, Taastrup, Kastrup, and Hvidovre—and travel across Zealand as needed. Frequently asked questions
What license classes do your drivers hold?
Category C for rigid vehicles over 3,500 kg, with a valid EU driver qualification card for professional commercial driving. Tell us the vehicle and weight when you inquire, and we will confirm we have the right cover before you book.
Can I hire a driver for just one day?
Yes. Single days, half days, a week of holiday cover, or ongoing regular work—all fine. Our first brewery job was a single six-hour day.
Do you provide the vehicle as well?
This service is driver-only, for companies that already have a vehicle. If you need a van and driver together, we offer that separately across Copenhagen.
Whose insurance applies?
The vehicle remains on your operating license and insurance, as with any temporary driver. We carry our own commercial liability cover through Tryg. Confirm with your insurer that temporary drivers are covered under your policy — most commercial fleet policies allow it, but it is worth a call.
How much notice do you need?

Can our own staff member ride along?
Yes, and it often works best that way. Your colleague knows the customers, the sequence, and the handling. Our driver drives.
